Jordan 11Lab4, BAITxAsics Misfits, and Kyrie 1s On This Week’s #ClatsAndKicks #50
#ClatsAndKicks is back on schedule for your weekly sneaker updates! Though Nike and Jordan drops run the show this week, Nike released info late this week that the online releases will be postponed. BUT the good news is that they will be released as scheduled through Nike retailers. So don’t be to down if you miss out tomorrow, the online drops will be coming in the future. Welcome back to the blog, we appreciate you guys reading this, so let’s get on with the kicks!
My first pick has to be these 11Lab4s. As a person who absolutely hates dress shoes, I love these. Fully dressed in patent leather, these draw inspiration from the prized AJXIs. The fusing of the iconic AJ IV and XI is the first of its kind. Any chance you can get away with a sneaker as a dress shoe, I’m all for it!
I have a soft spot for Asics even though I have yet to own a pair. The Gel-Lyte V gets a SF inspired colorway to celebrate Bait and their new Bay Area location. As a Bay Area native, this just excites me even more with my pride in local sports teams.
With the NBA Playoffs gaining wind, the Cavs have emerged as the favorites of the East and can potentially take home the big prize. They are dominating the Celtics and will most likely face the Bulls in the 2nd round. With the spotlight on LeBron, Kyrie is flying dangerously under the radar. A superstar on his own, he is expected big numbers from. Doing so in his 1st ever signature shoe, it would be some nice history to link with.
Jordan Brand had themselves a great week with some nice/quality pairs. The colors and silhouettes reflect Spring and Summer ready kicks, ready for your styling needs. Keeping the quality trend up to par, it makes it hard to not want any of these pairs!
Diadora is starting to pop up more frequently in my feed, and they continue to impress with the 24 Kilates collaboration. Nicknamed the “Toro”, this pair of N.9000s have pony hair uppers and hits hard with a bold splash of red.
Etonic returns with two pairs of OG Dream 1s, memorializing one of the greatest NBA centers of his time; Hakeem “The Dream” Olajuwon. Can this years Rockets team be the first champions since Olajuwon won it in the 90s?
Fila went green this week to commemorate Earth Day. This is one of my sleeper pairs for the week. This pair shows off the perfect shade of green, mesh/suede uppers, splattered mid soles, and gum bottoms. I see you Fila!
