Legend Blue XIs, Salvador Dali Asics and Kobe Makes History on This Week’s #ClatsAndKicks #37

#ClatsAndKicks is officially back in action! We are back, better than ever and just in time for the Holidays. Some of the most anticipated drops take place during this period, so you’re going to want to keep up. Likewise, we want to keep up and see YOUR latest; pickups, gifts, and Rastaclat matchups. So don’t forget to tag #ClatsAndKicks for a possible feature. Now the moment you’ve been waiting for, on to the kicks!

Every week we do our best to cover every release, whether it be quickstrikes or general releases. We like to feature three of the weeks top kicks, taking a more in depth look at the shoes to see what all the hype is about. Thus introducing the following section : The Editor’s Picks.

The first of the EPs (Editor’s Picks), of course, is the Jordan XI “Legend Blue”. Many may know these as the “Columbia” XIs, but these are more than just a retro. MJ is a legend and a staple for hard work in itself. From being cut in high school, to his time with North Carolina, to his famed NBA career. His path was not smooth nor easy, making his legacy that much more great. Celebrate this year’s Holiday XI release by pairing them with our Tundra bracelet, created just for the Legend Blues. Sold out on our web store? Some of our long time retailers (Beyond Hype, Moose Unlimited, Fresh Colony) have you covered!

Our second pick is a tribute to an iconic art piece, painted by Salvador Dali. Born in Spain, Dali was known for his Surrealist artwork. Dali’s “Persistence of Memory” piece is his most popular painting which has given these Asics Gel Lyte-Vs their inspiration. The splash of blue on it’s midsole resembles the sky backdrop and it’s sock liner is detailed with little ants which can also be found on the painting. You can thank Limited EDT for this sick collab.

Kobe Bryant. The infamous shooting guard is truly a last of a dying breed. One that trash talks, has that old-school game toughness, and has pure ice in his veins. Being 36 years old many expected his game to regress, but he is dropping buckets this season. With his tremendous pride you can expect him to continue his career until his body calls it quits. Earlier this week he surpassed the great Michael Jordan to move into 3rd place in overall career points. With that came the quickstrike release of his signature Nike Kobe 9 Low on NikeiD. Who came up with a pair? Show us by tagging #ClatAndKicks.
