Rastaclat Donates 150 Classic Bracelets to the Ashley Wade Foundation in New York

At Rastaclat we are all about Spreading Positive Vibrations® and contributing to a good cause, especially one that directly impacts people. We would like to introduce you to a foundation that does just that, the Ashley Wade Foundation. Their mission is to make a difference in the lives of children who are fighting chronic and terminal illnesses. The founder of this company knows first-hand what it’s like to fight an illness, her name is Ashley and she is fighting Crohn’s disease. She has gone through the doctor visits, hospital stays, tests, needles, and everything that goes with it. While in the hospital, she watched children suffer and felt the same emotions that ran through their minds. She also witnessed the sadness, anger, and vulnerability of families as they watched their children battle disease. Ashley wanted to do something about it, and so she did.

It is my hope to take their mind off their disease, and bring happiness, even if it’s just for a little while. Every child battling a chronic illness is special, and I want them to know that.” Ashley Wade

Ashley Wade created her foundation in 2011, and has not looked back. She offers happiness, hope,  and laughter to patients and their families through packages and parties.  Superstar care packages are assembled for children who have a surgery, procedure, or are confined to the hospital.  Volunteers hand deliver these care packages filled with donated books, toys, pajamas, coloring books etc directly to the patient’s room.  In addition to the care packages, the Ashley Wade Foundation hosts a themed party for the children in the pediatric ward at Winthrop Hospital in New York.
